Repurposing cute outgrown shirts

A wonderful consignment shop 2 blocks from my house (yeah, like that doesn't get me in trouble. I like to see it as supporting the local economy) uses tshirts to make bags.  Last year, they taught my daughter's Daisy troop how to make them.  Since then, Norah's been obsessed with me turning her favorite shirts into bags.  I don't mind. It takes but 2 minutes if my sewing machine is out.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy and they are super cute!

Ta da! And a happy little girl who can cart around her "crap" in her former tshirts :)

Love this! My girls carry everything around in backpacks and purses, so t-shirt bags would be welcomed for sure!

That's what I did for Halloween candy bags this year. Did I ever post that? I used out-grown Halloween Ts. I wanted them to have cute bags, but the ones I saw in the store were more than I wanted to pay and kind of crappy anyway. (I am cheap though... especially for stuff like that. And especially if I know I can make a cuter one.) I love Norah's. Did I pass down that Hello Kitty cowgirl tee, or did y'all have one too?

Oh! Great idea, Stacey! Nope - that was ours. I think she got me to get it after seeing a pic of Maia in hers, though. I think we own a lot of Target HK shirts. They are cheap and she adores HK!
